Biography
Ms. Mayberry has served in state and federal government as an attorney and an impartial neutral since 1992. She serves as an arbitrator, fact finder and mediator for a wide range of private and public institutions and unions, including manufacturing companies, school districts, universities, state agencies, and municipalities. She is a rostered arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. She is a permanent arbitrator for the State of Maine/Maine State Employees Association/SEIU job classification appeals. She serves as a member of the Maine Labor Relation Board’s Panel of Mediators.
Ms. Mayberry also serves as a special education fact finder and mediator for the Maine Department of Education’s Due Process Office. She has also presided over state disability and retirement appeal hearings as a hearing officer for the Maine State Retirement System. As a mediator, she serves on the Maine Residential Real Estate Mediation panel.
As senior attorney for the National Labor Relations Board in Philadelphia, she prosecuted union/management unfair labor practices and presided as a hearing officer on various labor issues. She also served as a law clerk for the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Mayberry grew up in Michigan. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, skiing, walking, gardening and bicycling with her children and husband.

Biography Shari has been helping parties resolve disputes in a variety of civil cases through arbitration and mediation since 1992. In addition to chairing the Maine Board of Arbitration and Conciliation, Shari is a member of many permanent mediation or arbitration panels. Her clients include school departments, colleges, municipalities, federal agencies, labor unions, private companies and individuals. She is also a hearing officer and mediator for the Maine Department of Labor and complaint investigator for the Maine Department of Education. Shari has a Certificate in Facilitation, and facilitates a broad range of meetings, including collaborative negotiations. She has completed hundreds of hours of advanced mediation and arbitration training, including the ACR Advanced Practice Institute on Mediating Employment Disputes, and transformative mediation, and mediating sexual harassment disputes. Shari is available for as a neutral fact finder for sexual harassment complaints.
In 1997, Shari was President of the Maine Association of Dispute Resolution Professionals and chaired the MSBA Alternative Dispute Resolution Section from 1997-1999. She was also President of the Board of Maine Arts, Inc. and is a founding board member of The Children's Rainforest.
Before opening her dispute resolution practice, Shari worked on Capitol Hill for five years as a Legislative Aide to two Members of Congress, served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Sidney W. Wernick, Hon. Kermit Lipez and Maine Superior Court, and was in the private practice of law.
When not resolving conflicts between her two daughters, she may be creating pottery, paintings or delicious cuisine, practicing yoga or working in her garden.
